OK, is anybody know how to update EDID on this monitor? It is write-protected.

Hi all!
After reading review of ViewSonic VX2435wm, I bought it..
I have some questions now:
1) How did you run Motorstorm and Resistanse at 1080p? PS3 menu shows it, but game only 720p. Game looks not so good..
2) What interface did you used to connect PS3? I'm using HDMI and pucture is cutten at all sides by 1,5sm.. It can be clearly seen in WebBrowser and Virtua Fighter 5. Maybe I need to connect via component?
