    Dear Monitor Expert.

I am looking for a specific Monitor that can meet the following requirements.

*************** Computer Specs and Monitor Use ****************

This monitor will be used with my Dell Precision M4300 which has an 15.4" (1280 x 800) Dell Wide Aspect Ratio TFT display 15.4" Dell wide-aspect display *more in regards to this in the Monitor Criteria. The laptop will be docked to a Dell docking station which has both Monitor plugs VBA and the Digital one (not sure of the name)

I will most likely work at 1680 x 1050 which is the highest resolution possible on the laptop. (I have a NVidia Quador FX 360M video Card.)

Around $500. $400 would be great (I live in Canada). ( I will need two monitors. One for home and one for work.)

I will use this monitor with Windows XP Pro and mostly work with the MS Office Suite. I want watch DVD’s, TV, Browse the Web, maybe play games, using this monitor as well.

    ******************** Monitor Criteria ***********************

    • Around $500. $400 would be great. ( I will need two monitors. One for home and one for work.)

    • At least 22 inches - 24 Inch would be preferred. (The bigger the better)

    • Thin Monitor that doesn’t take up too much space. (no CRT)

    • One of the major criteria for the monitor, is that when I undock the LapTop and use the laptop’s monitor, the Icons should not move around due to a different aspect ratio between the external monitor and the laptop Monitor. The icons should be in exactly (or close) position on the Laptop Monitor as well as the new external Monitor.

    • I would like to watch Cable TV on it as well. What jack does it need or should I just buy an adapter for the computer and plug the cable into the adapter.

    • At Least 60 degrees tilting Range. (If it can’t tilt, I guess I can just move the base but then it needs to be light and not too big.)

    • I might want the ability to be able to switch computers that the Monitor is displaying to with a click of a button. (Not important will most likely get a switch)

    • Speakers (I would prefer this, but it’s a very low priority)

    • Come with a remote. (would be nice don’t know if they usually do)

    • Please add more suggestions. I don’t know much about Monitors.

Thank you very much for your suggestions and advice.
