190P7ES: fidelity of colour reproducction

  • Hi,

Because the subject of my last threat don't related exactly to the question I have raised in my last post... I have thought that would be a good idea open a new one. Excuse me for any inconvenience.

There is another question very disappointing about this monitor. I have tried this black test (instructions about), get it from another forum...

My new 190P7ES is only capable of represent (what I distinguish at naked eyes) 8 or 9 levels of color black (from RGB[6,6,6] to RGB[15,15,15]). The first six ones (from RGB[0,0,0] to RGB[5,5,5]) appears all as pure black, -dont' differ-, where my one year old Samsung 711MP, with in theory an inferior panel, is capable of represent well all 17 levels!!!. I have proved it with almost all brightness/contrast/range colors possibilties, maximuns inclusive of course(brightness and contrat at 100%), before to confirm it.

Is my new 190P7ES defective?. Or an one year old TN panel deal better with black-grays that a P-MVA one of last generation!?. I think it's odd! ?(

Could you so kindly to pass the test and post and/or coment your results...

    Thanks! :D
