    Hello,

    First post here. ;)

I read the review on S2231W. This monitor looks exciting in many aspects, from the spectacular contrast ratio of 1:1500, which I had never seen before in any LCD to the good responsiveness in games. Clearly it's in a class of its own compared to other 22 inchers. However, the panel's color accuracy could be a real deal breaker to me.

If I'm reading the graphs right, some colors are way off when you're working in sRGB display mode. That is, when you're doing ordinary work on the desktop: browsing the web, viewing or editing photos, watching movies and so on.

I'm not a professional user and I don't have calibration hardware, but I am a discerning user and I do appreciate a true image. I fear that if I get the S2231W colors could seem outright unnatural and untrue, for example when looking at high-detail wallpapers from various sections of this webpage:

Bearing in mind that a 3+ deviation in the deltaE score is where you begin to notice a difference, does the relatively high deviation in this monitor, and especially the 10+ deviation in Blue and Green, mean that photos can sometimes look flawed on it?

My other option is the 19-inch S1932 which should be landing here in Israel any day now. While the 24 inchers are not entirely outside my budget, I prefer to stick to a model with a bigger pixel pitch this time around because it's easier on the eyes.

    Thanks.
