Hi all
In the review on Prad, there is a comparison for calibrated values for sRGB.
The odd thing is that the values tell me that Rev1 has double the contrast, due to hlaf the black point light output?
Have they really cut the contrast by half on the new versions?
(I know they got rid of banding and improved colour fidelity, but at what cost?)
See below:
Comparison of calibration with sRGB standard - Rev. 1
Calibrated Goal Measured
White point / Kelvin 6500 6400
Brightness / cd/m² 140 141
Black point / cd/m² 0,00 0,12
Contrast / x:1 Native 1174
Gamma / average sRGB (~2,2) 2,20
Comparison of calibration with sRGB standard - Rev. 2
Calibrated Goal Measured
White point / Kelvin 6500 6600
Brightness / cd/m² 140 141
Black point / cd/m² 0,00 0,23
Contrast / x:1 Native 612
Gamma / average sRGB (~2,2) 2,19
