Selbst mit DP 1.1 klappt es nicht

Hallo zusammen,

ich hab ein Problem und hoffe das ihr mir helfen könnt.
Als Grafikkarte besitze ich eine HD5870 welches ein Displayport Slot hat und eine max. Auflösung bis 2560x1600 schafft.

Betriebsystem: Win 10

Letzte Woche hatte ich mir den Asus MG279Q gekauft und mit dem
gelieferten Mini Displayport Kabel erhalte ich kein Signal, obwohl ich
es im Monitor auf Mini DP eingestellt hatte.

Gestern hatte ich mir dann ein neues Displayport to Displayport Kabel gekauft und genau das selbe Problem, kein Signal.

Mit einem HDMI Kabel funktioniert alles einwandfrei, nur ist die Auflösung für mich auf einen 27Zoll Monitor zu unscharf.

Woran könnte es evtl. noch liegen? Was könnte ich noch versuchen?

PS:Hatte bis dato noch nie den Displayport Slot meiner Grafikkarte benutzt.
