Gericom C900 vs. T900

  • Hello.

First of all, sorry for writing in english here, but it didn't seem to be much action going on in the english section.

Last wednesday I bought a Gericom C900 monitor in Promarkt in Flensburg. They also had the Gericom T900, which costed €30 more than the C900. The salesman said it's just the design that differs, so I bought the C900 since it was cheaper.

Now I'd like to ask those of you who has the T900, if you could check your manuals and comfirm that they have the same panel.

I have the (new?) C900 with the same specs as the T900:
    Helligkeit: 400cd/m2
    Kontrast ratio: 450:1
    Reaktionszeit: 12 ms

Accordinf to my C900 manual, the panel is called AU-EN04(V1). More info about it can be found on

What I'd like to know is, does the T900 have the same panel?
And perhaps somebody has some info about in what other (wellknown, tested) monitors this panel is used in.

    Best regards,

  • According to this page:

the Viewsonic VX912 and VP912 uses the same panel as the Gericom C900.

The full name of the panel in C900 is M190EN04 V1 and it's made by AUO.

    According to these pages:

the panel has 6-bit pixels, thus only showing 262K colors.
(In the pdf it has been changed from 16.2M to 262K according to the changelog.)

    These AUO pages:

say the panel has 16.2M colors,
    while this (china) AUO page:

says it has 262K colors. (But this page might be old since it calls the panel M190EN04 and not M190EN04 V1 as the others.)

If the Gericom C900 only has 6-bit pixels, and the Gericom T900 has a different panel with 8-bit pixels, I hope I can take it back to Promarkt and exchange it to a T900.

Does the T900's package say 16.2M colors? It does not on my C900's package.
