I have NEC 1880SX connected with Radeon 9800Pro through DVI-D.
I can set monitor's refresh rate to 60, 70 and 75Hz.
Does it make any difference? Can it damage monitor?

i assume that the standard refresh rate of your nec is 60 hz. so, normaly you should let your tft operate at these 60 hz. but of course you can try the other rates in applications or games where you notice smearing or stuttering. your monitor will manage these refresh rates without problems.

Monitor driver doesn't hide this higher refresh rate. Some LCDs I saw can't be set higher than 60Hz, but on 1880SX I see all three settings.
I "think" that picture is faster in games but that doesn't have to be true.
I just thought that maybe it could damage monitor...
