Despairing search after a good monitor :-(

  • Hi Dudes,

I'm from Germany and I also asked my Question in the German Part of this Forum, but it would interesting me also what the English-Dudes are thinking of my problem and maybe you can give me some good advices.

I'm searching since over one Year for a good monitor and I always prefer CRTs but here in Germany are no more good CRTs available on the market, so I must look which TFTs are able for me.

The following things must the monitor accomplish:

    Gaming:

    - No cords

    - No Move-unsharpness

    - Resolutions from 1024*768 up to 1280*1024 must be educible with no quality loss (catchword interpolation)

    - Leastwise two peoples must be able to sit around the monitor and everybody must see the same (catchword watch-angle)

    Generally:

    - No Pixel or Subpixel mistakes

    - Consistent outlighting and blackworth (black, not grey)

    - No possibility for insects to crawl into the monitor and if it happen although, it must be masked from the guarantee

    - Sharp, flarefree, color-happy and contrast-rich Picture

    - No "Jeans-Pattern"-Effect

I choose the VX 924 from Viewsonic but i'm not sure if I can get happy with this machine, 'cause I've read some good valuations but also some bad and that's the problem with every monitor. What would you prefer me ? I also must order the monitor over the internet because here in Germany we have a law for online-orders called "Fernabsatzgesetz" (Far-Distribution-Law) which makes possible for customers which are not happy with there monitors to send it back in a fortnight to get their money back.

Sorry for my bad english, I'm still learning that language.

    Bye Bye

    Gorn

  • if you buy the vx924 you will be disappointed
the 4 ms speed specification says nothing at all...it is just a number to sell the screen.
go for a screen with an 8bit panel eg:
viewsonic vp930b (very nice screen for its price, also good for gaming)
    viewsonic vp191b
    samsung 970p
    samsung 193p+

if you absolutely want to buy a panel with fast specification (though it will not be faster in reality) then consider the benq fp91v or their new benq fp93gx

    goodluck.
