I don’t think this has something to do with the TCO label.

No not direct, but what I have heard is that the 16ms s-ips panels should be in the TCO03 verified models.
Ohhh it's so confusing .... I really don't know if the people that are talking negative about the LG l1910b (responstime etc.) has just been unlucky and got a PVA panel version or in fact that their s-ips panels really does suck ?(

There has been a lot of rumors on the i-net about the l1910b.

This is what I have concluded:

    The l1910b with TCO03 has an 16ms s-ips panel.
The l1910b with TCO99 has an older mva panel.

So can I be sure to get a 16ms s-ips panel if I order the TCO03 version of l1910b? Is my conclusion correct?

I must say that im ´still not sure if an 18" screen will be "enough" or I will have to but a 20".

With an 18" the best option would be the NEC 1880sx -as I can understand. But I have also read that the Iiyama AS4637UT should have the same panel and therefore be rather semilar. The NEC is 1689euro but the Iiyama is "only" 1486euro. Would the Iiyama be the best choice considering the price difference? Or what about the Sony p82? The P82 is only 960euro .. would that be an even better choice, taking the price/value in mind??

With an 20" screen I think that I will have the following to choose from:
Syncmaster 213t 1554euro - Flatron LCD 2010P 1705euro. The NEC 2080UX are not to be found in DK, but the price will surely be too much.

Any comments on this -hopefully final post.

Well im on the phone with LG Denmark and hopefully I will get an answer soon. Stay tuned ;)

Regarding the 240t v.3: This model will have a brightness of 300 and "color gamut" is set for 70.8 instead of 65 as with the v2 model.

Update: Well apparently LG Denmark only have one person in their staff who knows something about their screens, and he doesn't pick up the phone. So hurray for that.....

I thought that the 240t would be discontinuet -and that was why it can be bought with a 50% discount right now, but it seems that the 240t has been updated at couple of times and will now come out in a 3 version. So i guess that it is the 2 version we can get at a 50% discount.
    240t

    Well right here:
    Lgenordic

It clearly says 16ms, but I have also read a couple of places that claims 25ms. Dammit :)

I have also been looking at the Samsung 213t, but I don't know what to think of it besides the design is very nice. I would love to buy the NEC 2080UX but cannot find a danish dealer and im not convinced that I would be satisfied with a smaller 18" display as with the 1880sx.

According to tftshop.net the LG 2010P uses an s-ips panel. That is wrong right? I mean .. s-ips panel with 16ms responsetime .... I would think that this would make it great in games, but alot of the reviews I have read said that it wasn't that good in games.

This screen was actually my first choise until I read that it wasn't that good in games.
Oh ja ... and it's cheaper in Denmark than in Germany ... don't know why since all other screens are much cheaper in Germany.

I have been looking at the 240t again ... just because its 50% off right now (1600euro) and the best connection for at TFT screen is the DVI connection right? If I choose the DVI connection on this monitor I will only be able to run at 1280*1024 which seems very low. I could imagen that everything would look very big. With the analog connection it can run up to 1920*1200 but with the analog connection the picture dosent get as good?
A comment on the resulution would be nice.

Dahm I must say that choosing a new TFT screen is very hard! ;)

Update: I think I have discarted this screen. Because of the wider aspekt i think that I will most properly get problems when i.e playing games in 1600*1200 since the aspekt ration will not fit perfectly.

Well I guess I could, but I can buy hardware with a 25% "discount" -I can advoid some of the tax and then the price gets a bit better. So back to my question:

Does the Dell 2000FP use the same panel -and have the same specs, as the NEC 2080UX? I read this in a danish newsgroup/forum and I think that they got the info from this forum.

Anyone got a link to a good german onlinesite that sells NEC screens?

That might be true, but that is not the price in Denmark :( And I dont think I will buy a screen outside denmark. I haven't yet found the 2080UX in denmark, but I would guess that it would cost more than the LCD1880SX which is about 1700euro. 2500+ euro in denmark is probably not far from the actually price.

    Hello again

I am at work right now, but will study your replys later on -thanks :)

I have recieved some new information and would like to run it through you guys.

I have read that the Dell 2000FP uses the same panel -and have the same specs, as the NEC 2080UX. If that is true then the Dell would be a great buy since it is much cheaper than the NEC. The Dell is only 1500euro. Is this true??

    Hello my fellow geeks :))

First of all I hope it's ok that I write in english. I haven't spoken german for many years. But what I have been told, is that this site/forum is the place to be concerning LCD screens.

I would really like to buy a larger LCD screen -normal use + gaming i.e cs - BF1942 -Unreal, but its a jungle out there and it's not easy to find the information I would like to find and I have so many questions. Here goes:

    1. So the best LCD screens offered today are form NEC and LG because they use the better IPS/S-IPS panels?

    2. An LCD screen with 16ms responsetime isn't necessarily a better "gaming" screen than a 25-30ms screen with a better panel i.e 25ms IPS/S-IPS vs. 16ms MVA/PVA?

    3. I would have liked to buy the LG Flatron LCD 2010P, but I have read that this screen isn't very good in games eventhough its 16ms responstime. Too bad. Then what?
Which models would you suggest in these size classes? Price/value taken in mind.
    18" - 19" - 20"

But is there a 20" LCD screen on the marked that can be used for gaming? I don't think that I have read about screens any bigger than 18" that would be acceptable in games i.e the NEC LCD1880SX? I must admit that I have looked at the Samsung SyncMaster 240T 24" because I might be able to buy this screen for the same price as the nec LCD1880SX/LG Flatron LCD 2010P i.e 13000dkr ~ 1700euro and 24" would be soo nice, but I think it is horrible in games?

    Thanks -Søren Hegner, Denmark.

p.s Feel free to reply in german if you like to.
