dpi of each monitor

  • hello

I think it is very essential to display in the characteristics list of each monitor the 'dots per inch' (dpi) value of the monitor

because as we all know, dpi value shows the REAL resolution, REGARDLESS the size of the screen

    for example, a 20" screen with 1680 x 1050 resolution is much better than a 22" screen with 1680 x 1050 resolution

dpi value shows the absolut resolution of the screen so it is very useful as well to be mentioned in the characteristics list

    thanks

  • Yeah. Nothing "unreal" about normal x*y resolutions. 1920x1200 are 1920x1200 regardless of screen size.
DPI only matters to find out how easy the screen is on the eyes. But for that, I prefer the dot pitch (e.g. 0.27mm) which is directly in a measurement I can understand and estimate with, instead of Imperial which has to be converted to a sensible one first. ;)
