I know that maybe this question has been done to death but I have been facing a real dilemma for the last three months trying to procure a monitor that would match my Graphics card. I have a HD 4870 1 GB Palit card on an i7 920 platform. My usage is 40% work (word, excel, powerpoint, browsing), 20% gaming (far cry2, crysis, WOW etc), 10% movies, 30% photo editing. I have been fancying the following models but they are not available where I'm at and I may need to import them.
1. Dell s2209WA
2. HP L2475W
3.Dell SP2309W
4. Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP
5. Samsung 245T
My budget is around $1000.
