What a AU Optronics Panel based on Premium MVA-Technology and with 16ms responsetime? unbelievable
grey 2 grey... the first manufature who says that! The other says "black to white".

I hope all other manufacturers start to write the gray2gray speed...They should specify the minimum and maximum time needed for the transitions. Everything else isn't very useful.

Hi,
when i saw the title of the thread, my first impression was: AMAZING! But then I looked for the link, I saw that they say it is a premium MVA. And now I´m a bit confused.
I´m not for sure, if I can believe, what they say. But maybe Tota can give some more information about the panel.
Will MVA really be good for games in the future? What kind of new technology may be behind this announcement or is it simple marketing, as in most cases.

ZitatThey should specify the minimum and maximum time needed for the transitions. Everything else isn't very useful.
I seen they already use the "gray to gray" specification for LCD-TV panels.
Which levels of grey are intended?
Is a average value?I don't know...
You are right that min/max is more useful... but this can be a small progress.

Sorry, I don´t give any further information about such themes at the moment.

This panel could be the next mainstream panel for the 19" TFT's. Was not AU Optronics the first who bring 16ms Responsetime to the 17" class with the TN-Panel? But MVA isn't the best for low static responsetime...
-
@Tota:
A MVA Panel wouldn´t have such a low response-time in grey-scales, am I right?
The description MVA is a a bit confusing for me. But it´s o.k., if you can´t say more about it here.

No, you are not right. I don´t see any technical borders for a 12ms or 16ms MVA Panel.

Hi Tota,
hmmmm, that would be a very important innovation. The best characteristics of two worlds would become one.
And if Eizo will use this panel for their displays it can´t be bad. Then i expect the image quality to be excellent.

Italian words in the english section!!!
:]Bene, grazie!
:))Eizo will use this panel?
I've the L767 and is the best 19'' I've been able to see... but Samsung panel is so slooooooow
I hope they will make a 19'' model with the new Nec S-IPS panel.
So I can start to dream a monitor change... -
You are right, we better stay in english, my italian is so rosty...
New Nec S-IPS? Just a wish dude.
You do not know the Eizo 795? It´s really a good TFT whit some colour advantages against the 767.

My english too...
ZitatNew Nec S-IPS? Just a wish dude.
You are saying Nec don't have any 19'' panel in work!?
So they will only use LG.Philips panels???
ZitatYou do not know the Eizo 795?
Yes, but I don't need so many functions.
My L767 is already very good and my only criticism is about the speed.

I forget...
Ciao :]
I seen Germans use "Ciao" like Italians.
