FP937S vs FP937S+

    I was just wondering if there are some other differences between those monitors than response time (12ms vs 8ms). Does the plain 937 maybe have better viewing angels or better picture quality. The price difference ain't that big so it's hard to understand why anyone would go for plain 937.

    AFAIK the + is a total different panel:
    - Much better contrast (700:1 instead of 450:1 in the plain)
    - A bit better brightness (300 instead of 250)
    - A bit improved viewing angles



    Note that both are TN panels. In some places I read that the + has 16.7M colors, which is weird since all TN panels usually have 16.2M (they use 6 bit + dithering).

    Yea, that's pretty much what I saw from the specs. I just thought it was marketing talking, advertising the more expensive panel.


    And that was other thing that 16,7mil. colors. It seems odd that two panels with so different specs are so closely priced. Who in his right mind would buy that plain 937?
