The next Prad's EIZO S1910 review...

  • I've read that Prad are preparing an EIZO S1910 review.
    In an italian monitor forum we are debating on which it's the best 19'' VA gaming panel from the AU Optronics MVA (ViewSonic VP191 8ms GTG) and Samsung PVA (Eizo L778, Fujitsu-Siemens P19-2, ...).
    The dispute is born from the reviews of a well-know French site (I don't make the name) who are saying that the ViewSonic VP191 is far superior to Fujitsu-Siemens P19-2 and other PVA based monitors.


    So... I would ask if you can include in the next review a comparison video-clip that show the VP191 and S1910 ghosting.
    Personally, I have not doubts when you saying that all VA+overdrive LCDs have similar ghosting.
    It's only a suggestion to make a still more useful review...

    Im currently translating the recent PRAD.de review of the Viewsonic VP191s (8ms) into English, which is about to become available shortly.
    To make a long story short:
    Andi (the reviewer) came to the conclusion that, in terms of ghosting, the VP191s' panel is slightly inferior the one that's incorporated in the L778 and P19-2. He derived this from the fact that streaks formed by the VP191s appear somewhat brighter with certain color combinations and are therefore more distinct.

    I know the VP191 review conclusions and the reliability of this site.
    I had been the first Italian Prad estimator...

    We are only trying to understad the reasons of contrasting opinions.
    There is the BeHardware (english version of Hardware.fr) review about the Fujitsu-Siemens P19-2:
    19” LCD monitor survey: 4, 8 ms, TN, IPS, VA…

    Because the LCD's response time is a very subjective matter...
    I have thought to ask Prad if they can include a comparative video-clip in the next EIZO S1910 review.
    They already have done it in the past.


    I think the brighter streaks can be explained by the overdrive working principle.
    During the transition from a color to another there is a quick jump to white.
    Because the white-to-middletone passage is much faster than middletone-to-middletone.
    (I hope to have understand)

    P.S.
    S1910 would have a small horizontal-viewing-angle problem with particular colors.
    The same may be found in Samsung 193p and EIZO L768, but not in the L778 (it's correct?)
    Some has an idea on the reasons of this difference?
    ?(


    Maybe L778 use something different polarizer, back-light, ... ?
