Samsung 740T vs Eizo L578K

  • Hi,
I am on a budget and want to get my 1st LCD monitor; I will fundamentally use it for photoediting.
In my corner of the world I can get a Samsung 740T for about 300E while the Eizo578K is about 400E.
Both panels feature PVA panels and I wonder whether the Eizo is worth the extra cost (does it has a better backlight? do the 10bit electronics make a difference?)
    Thanks

note: factory calibration is not crucial to me. I have bought a Spyder2.

  • Ok, Prad lists the 740T as PVA, but check this Samsung webpage.
