Replacement Laptop Screen

    Hello!
    It would be great if someone would be able to help me…..I have a Sony Vaio PCG-B505BP Laptop which has a 12.1" screen…now broken in a drunken stupidity!....I have searched all over for a replacement (Product Nr. on back of demounted screen: Toshiba LTD121EA4X) but can only find them in the USA (and rather expensive!)….it would be worthwhile to replace the screen as the laptop specification is still good…..if anyone knows where I could order a replacement or an alternative make that is compatible (preferably in Europe) I would be most happy for the advice…I have searched "High & Low" in the net....HELP! I hate to throw out good things it is such a waste!

    p.s. If someone also knows where to obtain a replacement Keyboard (Deutsch) it would also be great!


    p.p.s. I will NEVER buy another Sony product again….they are the most MISERABLE company when it comes to honest and fair advice for its customers…

    Try to search for refurbished or dead notebooks (broken mobo, etc.) of same type as you have also. You should switch panels instead of buying new one. Sometimes it is cheaper.

    thanks....that's a good idea...I guess I'll just have to take the risk that they will be broken....problem is that I don't know which 12.1" screens are compatible....cheers steuart
