Eizo S2231WE vs Samsung 245T

  • Hi all,

I have posted this question in the forum, but see I did not ask in the proper place so will repost.

Size 22-24 inch wide screen. 24 inch would be nice but not at the cost of IQ
    Buget $1,000+- U.S

Have good selection of on line stores

    Main use
is for editing images from a Dslr in Adobe RGB space and printiing
on an Epson R2400. Second use general web surfing

    Own a Spyder calibraitor

Monitors on my list so far

    1) Eizo S2231WE-BK

    Very good review from Prad.
Test results seem to be slightly better of the two monitors Im looking at.
Appeal Eizo Reputation and 5 year warranty, very flexable stand. Discreet design, non distracting.

    2) Samsung 245T

    Very good review from Prad
Appeal 24 inch slightly less costly

Negitive to me, distracting glossy piano lacquer finnish.

Also open to other choices that I may have missed?

    Thank you for any advise.

    Dave

  • Sorry for so many questions but looking at the reviews I see that the NEC LCD2690WUXi is just slightly over my buget, but close.

Prad's test format has changed so harder to do a side by side comparing with the other two monitors.

How would it compare, seems only weakness is the balck value, compard to the other two, I don't know what in real life that would mean to me, as far as viewing color and b/w images?

I know it's a bit silly trying to compare three monitors from 22-26 inch, but all three are in my buget, or close enough that I can manage.

Again the main intent editing Dslr images in Adobe RGB, any other abilitys of the monitors are just extras for my needs.

    Thanks again.

    Dave
