LG W2600HP-BF

  • Hello to all.

In August 2008 i bought my first W2600HP for 500€. Revision 803xxxx with all the known problems. I upgraded to 1.60 from 1.10 and everything solved.

Backlight bleed exists in the upper left corner nad it is noticeable when the monitor switches on or off.

Few days ago i bought another one W2600HP FOR 620€ from Berlin (price includes vat and transport fees with UPS)

Revision 904xxxx with factory installed firmware 1.60.

Backlight bleed does not exist BUT ON THE SERVICE MENU SPECIFICALLY ON THE 4TH LINE

my old monitor with 803xxxx serial shows LPL26.IPSWCG and my new with 904xxxx shows LPL26.PWMWCG

Does anyone knows if this is correct ? Do i need an upgrade ? my new W2600HP is fake or something ?

and also based on the panels the new one has 102% WCG and the old one 115% ?

I 've found a lot of threads on Russian and other sites that explain for LG panels and for the specific model from 801xxxx to 809xxxx had a different

panel that those 901xxxx 904xxxx. The old ones LPL26.IPSWCG and the new with LPL26.PWMWCG.

If i change from the service menu the setting from LPL26.PWMWCG to LPL26.IPSWCG the brightness goes to full and when i try to reduc from

30 percent and down the backlight CCFL "smoothly" switches off (FADES OUT) from left to right and not on whole screen UNTIL it switches off

    COMPLETELY.

    Thanx all in advance.
