Best 18" / 18.1" / 19" TFT right NOW ?

As I've just sold my CRT monitor I need to find the best 18/18.1/19" TFT monitor available right now.

I've been looking into the HP L1925 which seems like a great bargain + it has a 20ms respons rate.

I know everybody is making a fuss about the Dell TFT's but they are way to expensive IMHO.

What would you recommend I buy ?? I do play games and even FPS' sometimes (yeah I know that makes it a bit tricky)

The Hercules Prophetview II 191 and the Iiyama Pro Lite E481S-B looks pretty good aswell (both with 25 ms panels though)

what does FPS´s (Foto Printing Service?) mean?

For games the best TFTs right now: Iiyama 481, NEC 1880 (the old version!), NEC 1860, VP 181, NEC 1960nxi.

FPS = First Person Shooter I believe you call it Egoshooter in German (my german is a little rusty).

The NEC 1860 has a 30ms respons time So I'm afraid that's out of the picture..

The Iiyama 481's looks promising and it's not too expensive either.. Will try to find some reviews of it..

What you have to look for is an IPS or S-IPS panel, those are the best ones for games.

The feedback of the 481 are quit good and I think it´s the best TFT in the 700E & 19" price-area.
The 481 has the same panel and electronics as the 1960i.

My first choice is still the 1880 (old one, with TCO 95/98).
