Need help with Benq FP 783

Hi,

I just bought a Benq FP 783, and I'm having a bit of trouble setting it up correctly. This is my first lcd so I don't know much about them.

Can someone tell me what refresh rate I should be using this monitor in?

When I play games or movies tha image quality doesn't seem that good. Things look a grainy.

Any help would be apprecitated.

pls use 60hz or 70hz. not more!

do you use a resolution of 1280*1024? i grainy picture comes from interpolation, so it seems that your tft runs with a lower resolution.

Yes, I have it running in 1280x1024 @60hz and it still looks the same, also the colors don't look right in movies, to much red, and it looks a bit washed out. I tried adjusting the colors, but can't get it looking good.

Maybe I'm using the wrong drivers?

The installation disc didn't have the monitor drivers, only the webcam drivers. I went to the Benq Australian website (I live in Australia) but they didn't have them either, so I went to the Benq American website and downloaded it from there, I hope its the right one.

I've just started looking at some jpeg images, and they don't look right either.

Either I have this monitor set up wrong, or its just a bad one. I might see if I can take it back and get a differernt one.

You don´t need any drivers. Til now, I´m running nearly every TFT with the standard windows driver.

You know that you have a device with a TN panel. The colours of a TN panel are not like nature ones.

Can you make a picture and upload it for us?

I don't know how to upload images.

I think I just have to get used to lcd's
