How to test for dead pixels?

    Hi,


    I have just purchased an Eizo 797 monitor. Please help me with the following.


    1) I am not sure how to check for dead pixels. Can someone help?


    2) There are input sockets for digital & analogue (from the PC to LCD) in to the LCD. What is better?

    Looks like I got 1 dead pixel (blue colour) in the centre. 3-4 tiny dead pixels (blue colour) scattered around. Is this a problem? Should I request for a new LCD? Thanks for your help!

    Try the Nokia Monitor Test to find dead pixels.


    The digital input (DVI) is better. If you have a graphic accelerator with DVI output you should use DVI.
