Eizo S1910: it WOBBLES

  • Dear ones,

I've got Eizo S1910. I'm quite satisfied, but I've got a very annoying problem. The monitor WOBBLES and oscillates very often on every small vibration I make while writing with the keyboard.

Is it normal, or my monitor has something wrong?

Is there any way I can BLOCK, freeze it in a certain position?

    Thanks

  • Hello!
How long has the monitor been in use?
Did this problem show up from the beginning, or only since recently?

See if tightening the screws shown in the picture below does anything. If it persists, try to identify the part responsible for the instability.

(taken from the Prad review of the S1910)

As a rule (and as we also pointed out in our review), Eizo monitors are known for their great stability. So if all else fails, call Eizo support and get a replacement. Eizo is usually very co-operative in these matters.

    The monitor is new. ;)

Tightening the screws is not effective. The responsible part for the "wobbling" is the pivot mechanism. Maybe my desktop is not so stable, and makes some small vibrations while I type, but the previous monitor was more still.

  • Soft table is a nightmare for every LCD. If you compare table mass with LCD mass then table dynamic easily overcome LCD. Old CRT with 20 kg not, but 6 kg LCD easily.
