What 20" monitor

  • Hi, New to forums, looking for a 20"ws 16/9 monitor. Will be using mainly for internet/office use and Digital photo editing, possibly some gaming in future. Have narrowed panels down to the following:

Samsung 205/206bw, Dell 2007wfp, Philips 200WP7ES (a little bit more expensive).
Can anyone suggest a choice from these or any other panels up to around £275?
    many thanks for any help.

  • I'd prefer the Dell because of it's S-IPS-Panel witch is better for graphic issues and because the 2007WFP has the probably best Price-Performance ratio, too.

Alternatives with S-PVA-Panel are Belinea 102035w and ViewSonic VX2025wm, wich are both good for graphic works and, of course, office and games.

  • Hi going to buy from the net so will not be able to view a screen. As I said my main use will be internet/e-mail followed by some amateur photo editing but would like accurate colours if possible.I have read that most monitors require calibration,to get accurate colours, however this would involve purchasing expensive software which is not the way cost wise the way to go?
Anyone can offer any help here?
