Eizo S2243 good or bad ???

  • I have been reading about problems with the Eizo s2243. Color shifting from red to green (left to right), uneven brightness. And these problems don't seem to be solved with proper calibration. Also people complain about the Eizo being noisy :pinch: .

Are there people with this new Eizo s2243 without these problems? People who are completely satisfied with this monitor?

I need a new monitor and use it only for Photoshop and black&white photography.
My old Apple 23" display was uneven and my old 24" iMac also ;( . So I now would like to have a decent monitor. One with a wide color gamut and a reasonable price.
I know I can get a good Lacie/NEC 26" for twice the price of the Eizo... but I am looking for a screen and price that are a bit smaller.

Just putting 'good' or 'bad' in the subject line would already be enough to find out how common these problems are with the Eizo s2243

  • An universally valid answer is difficult. Of course there are some deviations in mass-production that I can't predict. To be on the safe side (at least a quite safe side) you should consider a display with a compensation-circuit (Eizo: DUE, NEC: ColorComp; Lacie also implements this within some screens).
