With Google you can found some reference to a NEC 1980SX+ model.
So NEC will have a 1980SXi with LG.Philips panel and a 1980SX+ with proprietary panel?

Yes, the english section of this forum is not so frequented... but in my opinion Prad is still the best place to get LCD informations, also if you must use a translator.
The idea to separate english threads/posts has been good for german-only users and not very happy for english-only users.
I'm only a simple user and I try to put my modest contribution...
