Every person has his tastes...
I find the 19'' too big...
I will use it 90% for programming and 10% for all the other things.
I'm trying a 19'' but I find it too big.
When I look the main menu I must rise the head.
17'' is good for view the program code,
but something can be too small.
I think I will go to standard size... 18''
Thanks
... ist der korrekte Titel "17 oder 18".
Ich fand 19 zu groß.
What's the best size for a LCD monitor?
I know 18 inches is the CRT equivalent,
but someone say 17 is better.
Thanks
You don't need a special color program to see...
I've open the "Paint" color palette and shades
discontinuities are evident.
Plus... if you look near the panel you can
see soft horizontal lines, like some interlacing.
Is not a simple color accuracy problem...
I've used a IPS panel and is great for
colors and response time, but I don't like
the "crystalline effect" to much...
I like more the MVA/PVA image clarity.
Now I have a Acer AL922 with Fujitsu MVA
panel and is beatiful...
I think better than Samsung equivalent...
only OSD is trashy.
19'' is big.... too big...
17'' can be small... but 18'' is enough.
Ciao
Yesterday I have tried an Acer AL732.
This monitor don't have real 16M color palette.
It use some interlaced color extension technique.
So be careful in the choice.
Is a nice monitor, with nice price, OSD and
respose time... but not for graphic works.
I hope can be useful...
Ciao
Hello Cash
Thanks for the hospitality!
This is a dream place for a monitor lover like me :))
Yes, the space between pixel is not so visible.
I think this erroneously because the crystalline effect.
Now I've understand this is a normal IPS thing...
Tomorrow I goes to return the monitor...
the shop boys will not be too much satisfied.
But I can't use two monitors with different
ClearType scheme.
I've also returned a Samsung 191T, because the
bad response time and white color accuracy.
Now in the list I have:
ViewSonic VX800 (or VX900)
Acer AL732
Samsung 172T
Someone has a suggestion?
If I return something else someone
can beat me...
Thanks 1000000!
I try to speak in english.
Ehm... I'm from Italy.
Someone in the german monitor newsgroup tell me there is a great forum about LCD.
I don't understand german language and I hope this forum is not reserved to some shop customers, because is really unique.
Sony X82 is connected with DVI at native resolution.
It has great color accuracy.
I can see dark tints that with other monitors are invisible.
But.... It has very funny crystalline image.
In my secondary low price Philips LCD (MVA?)
color areas look clear and compact.
Sony color seem irregular and if I move the head
it change like an hologram... I can't explain better....
I've think to some antiglare treatment or
a ISP panel peculiarity (?)
Thanks anyway
Danke
