I don´t know. But a pure LG product is not 680E worth.

The LG L1910P has the Fujitsu MVA panel instead of the promised S-IPS... but you have to admit that has good features for 680 euro.

Once again a pro for the 1980i. But it´s still not an Eizo

    The answer is simple...

You want an Eizo with the 19'' Nec panel inside.
    :D

Now I'm very curious to know the new 19'' 16ms AUO panel real speed...
...and the monitors that will adopt it. 8)

"1980i" is the official NEC name?

...or they can call 1980sxi, 1980sx+, etc. ?

In Italy no shop still talk about new Nec models.
I hope that the 1960NXi entry price will be around 700 euro like in Germany.
Now you can already found the LG L1910P for 680 euro.
So can be other manufacturers are forced to make similar price reductions... and the 1980i go in the 900 area (?)

    Thanks for your new opinions!

The crystal effect is a big minus

Yes, my Eizo L767 have good colors and look very clear in office applications, but in movies and games make horrible ghosting. ;(

I have used Eizo L565 and L685 (respectively Hitachi and IDTech panel) and the crystalline effect was very very little.
So I hope they build their 19'' to give us a wider choice...

Yes, a ColorEdge series cost like a Iiyama and a Nec monitors... but all two together ;)

We don't must run too fast.
Can be there is another explanation for the smaller contrast.

Unfortunately in the PDF I can't found the response time.

Now I know 1980i color is darker and power led is too bright... but I hope you write something more!
    :D

I have advised all the free.it.comp.hardware Italian newsgroup about the prad 1980i scoop... ;)

    Please translate

    Ehm............ :)

But some specs are easy readable, like the 450:1 contrast.

This let me think that the panel is not the same Samsung within L767/L795.
But it may be due to some particular calibration... ?(

Can be this the new IPS Eizo about you spoke?

Ok, I don't have any confirmation about a ViewSonic VP181 panel change.

So, I must think that the bad user feeling is not due to monitor but to his personal exigence... ?(

    Thanks however

...& sorry if I have frightened uselessly someone.
    ;)

Acer that use a IPS panel sound a bit strange...

AU Optronics is a MVA company and seem to have a 20'' 16ms gray-to-gray.

But I think there is also some deal between AUO and Hitachi...

...or something from Hydis, like with the AL1731 (?)

    Ciao

I think that "Rapid Response technology" is marketing bla bla... or not so great feature. :)

1920NX, 1980SX, ... have it and seem buyers don't feel any exciting speed.

About the Nec 1960NXi I wait for another great prad review... :]

Unfortunately suspicions seem to be the reality. X(

    The VP181S have this codes:

    Model: vlcds26063-3w
    Serial: a2r032900557

    I would appreciate any information.

...and I think is useful for anyone would buy a new LCD monitor.

    Thanks

    Samsung- No thank you

    I don't like Samsung products too. X(

They publicize their products as professional grade, but it's not the reality.

I have used SyncMaster 191T and 172T and build quality and controls is far away from Eizo or Nec levels...
