An italian buyer is unsatisfied because say ViewSonic VP181 has heavy streaks!
    :(

I have personally used a monitor with the same panel (Sony X82) and know the numerous good reviews in this forum...
so I don't understand the problem.

Is possible ViewSonic has changed the panel??
    ?(

(I think he has only to accustom to this LCD monitor)

    Thanks

I can't access the premium section... I'm convincing myself to pay the ticket... ;)

    Samsung + Sony
(I don't know if the agree is only for LCD-TV panels)

They can lose market share but already have 57'' 8ms (gray-to-gray) panel (?)
    We will see...

19'' is good for programming because the pixel size.
So I hope they will not extinguished like 18'' :(

    Ciao

Good idea to discuss about new 19'' IPS panels & monitors...

Totamec don't say "yes", "not", "can be", ... :)

...but seem the Nec 1960NXi has a LG.Philips panel.

So Nec will use his own panel only in the 1980SX+/i model???
    ?(

...or Nec don't make any proprietary panel?
    8o

    I like to see a comparison 19'' S-IPS vs. MVA (16ms gray-to-gray)...

I like to see the Samsung move...
Samsung is a BIG LCD manufacturer and is not possible they don't have an answer in the 19'' size.

    Ciao 8)

    Ciao Blackcloud!
    ;)

Two italians that speak in english in a German forum...
    this is not funny?

I don't know if is the truth.... but I asked Iiyama Italia about the warranty and they say is valid in the whole Europe.

Sure you must found a reliable German shop with international shipping and the possibility to use the "straight of recess" (diritto di recesso).

I think Totamec and other forum's members can help you... :]

    Zitat

    my italian is so rosty...

    My english too... ;)

    Zitat

New Nec S-IPS? Just a wish dude.

You are saying Nec don't have any 19'' panel in work!?
    :(

So they will only use LG.Philips panels???

    Zitat

You do not know the Eizo 795?

Yes, but I don't need so many functions.

My L767 is already very good and my only criticism is about the speed.

    Zitat

    @miamo: buongiorno, come stai??

    8o

Italian words in the english section!!!
    :]

    Bene, grazie!
    :))

Eizo will use this panel? ?(

I've the L767 and is the best 19'' I've been able to see... but Samsung panel is so slooooooow ;(

I hope they will make a 19'' model with the new Nec S-IPS panel.
So I can start to dream a monitor change... 8)

    Zitat

    sorry for my german words.
i didn't notice that this thread is in the english section.

Don't worry... Italians like to joking ;)

    Zitat

They should specify the minimum and maximum time needed for the transitions. Everything else isn't very useful.

I seen they already use the "gray to gray" specification for LCD-TV panels.

Which levels of grey are intended?
    Is a average value?

    I don't know... ?(

You are right that min/max is more useful... but this can be a small progress.

Some people ask me about the LaCie Photon18blue and I never seen this monitor...

In the photos it look identical to a LG L1800P with blue case and also panel specs are the same.
So I think it have the same 18'' LG.Philips panel than Nec 1860NX and ViewSonic VP181. ?(

    Do you have some confirmation?

    Thanks

FFD is not a fake 8o

AUO, Samsung, Fujitsu... say they will use for LCD-TV panels.

"Jun Someya and his co-workers Mitsubishi Electric Corp. presented an evolution of their Feed-forward Driving (FFD) technique, which is used to obtain true video speed in LCD-TV displays. FFD is highly effective but requires large frame stores, which get expensive as resolution climbs toward the HDTV range. The new development, motion-adaptive compression makes improved quality possible along with reduced memory requirements and reduced cost."

"Optrex, in what may be a first, introduced Feed Forward Driving in a non-TV LCD, a 15-inch panel intended for gaming and other industrial applications."

Jack Daniel's the reality is that LCD is a complex argument that few people know (also "professional" people).

So is normal that salesman say 25ms LCD is faster than 30ms and ignores the technology (IPS, MVA, ...) and the fact that response time is heavily dependent from colors.

This is why there are so many people in this forum... :]
