Very nice base.

Very nice base.
(perhaps the arm can be optional?)
Zitat..doubtly not. I never saw big differencies in MVA- and PVA-screens. Also in the last big 19"-test of c't their own response time measurements did not show any differencies between MVA and PVA.
Not a big difference...
I have used Acer AL922 and it seems slightly faster with games and videos.
ZitatAs I know this restrictions are just valid for Samsung panels. As e.g. NEC customer I have got also 50.000h.
I have the suspect that Nec has changed the lamps and this can explain 700:1 contrast (?)
Zitat700:1 (1980SX). Real measurings at Samsung 171P screens the maximum contrast came up to 1000:1.
Wow! I've read another review where they said Samsung has realistic contrast ratio (Anandtech?).
ZitatMy optinion: contrast plus for PVA but all together => result: nearly the same.
Yes... in the 19'' size panels there is still not big competition.
I wait for the Nec + Hitachi S-IPS panel heard in the forum (Nec 1990SX?)... even if I not have more a cent.
ZitatWhy not? I don't think, that Eizo and NEC choosed PVA because of the price. This are the most expensive 19"-TFTs. I think they choosed it because of quality. Also I am not sure about that detials. In NEC`s original news the NEC has got a maximum contrast of 600:1 and not 500:1.
What does me think Premium-MVA is better than PVA is lamps life and response time.
Fujitsu talk about 50.000 hours vs. Samsung 20.000 hours.
MVA is undoubtedly faster than PVA.
always not enough for gaming, but better with movies.
But I can ignore something......
PVA can have better color reproduction (?)
About the PDF and 500:1 / 600:1 contrast... I don't know...
Some place write MVA panel... some news say PVA panel...
Only the best forum on LCD will can say and maybe make a test 1960NX vs. 1980SX
Seems that the 1960nx uses a MVA panel.
So this is the Nec opinion about PVA vs. MVA....
Thanks for the support Weideblitz!
You are 101% right........
I am a little sorry only because I think now prices will drop.
I would like Eizo use that panel on L767 instead of the PVA....... but probably I'm only pedant because image quality is already super.
Ciao
PDF document:
The 19'' has the new Fujitsu Premium-MVA
and I think the new OSD like AL732.
In Italy the AL1911 cost 598 euro!
I have just bought the monitor...
ZitatAlso über Google hab ich folgendes (Ohne Gewähr) gefunden:
The new Sony X93 will probably adopt a Fujitsu MVA. ... Quelle
Eih!
This is an old message of mine.
I really don't know what kind of panel Sony will adopt...
I think MVA because is already into S91/93 and currently there is not a lot of choice.
However will be interesting to compare X93 with Eizo L767 and Nec 1980SX.
I think Premium-MVA is slightly better than PVA, but probably Eizo and Nec think that not worth the price difference.
For Sony lovers...
There are traces of new SDM-X73 and SDM-X93 LCD models:
Ciao
Thanks Weideblitz, but I've fear all Eizo 15'' use the same Mitsubishi panel.
Very good on paper but non in the reality.
Not only the uniformity problem, but the response time is bad for a TN.
I see clearly that the 19'' PVA L767 is faster on desktop. :O
...and he don't want to spend too much.
Ciao
P.S.
I have an Eizo L367 as secondary display.
Design and electronic is very nice, but I don't like brightness uniformity and vertical viewing angle... so I have suggested to my friend to look elsewhere.
I think also to:
Nec 1560NX
Nec 1560VM
The VM seem to have better features (?)
ZitatAnd are you content now with your TFT?
finally... Yes.
I would prefered a 19'' with 20ms Super-IPS panel, but I think this is only fantasy for now
Ciao
Eih!!
don't tempt me to change another monitor....
I don't have more 1 cent and I'm very happy with the L767.
Ciao
ZitatReally, Eizo L767 is 200 Euro cheaper than 1980SX?????
I've bought L767 for 919 euro (tax included)
while Nec 1980SX cost over 1100 euro.
This week I see 1980SX is priced 1050.
Obviously these are "italian" prices...
Ciao
P.S.
The L767 has a "smoothing" option to change interpolation level of non native resolutions, but the result is not really useful.
ZitatThe L767 doesn't have
- a contrast control
- 1:1 view of smaller resolutions
- interpolaton of smaller resolutions by correct aspect ratio
Yes, there is not a contrast control and I like this.
Contrast in LCD is only an illusion, because the
OSD operate on colors reproduction.
So changing the contrast you have a gray->white or a
white->gray..........
I think the Eizo choice is very professional, and there
are also temperature, gamma, saturation, hue, gain
with both analog and digital connection.
For 1:1 view and aspect ratio correction, I don't
need but I think for someone can be useful.
This is a lack...
The only option I really envy to Nec 1980SX is the "sharpness".
Sometime text look too sharp on LCD and this option can avoid to use ClearType fonts.
If I have understanded the function...
ZitatRegarding your TFT: Why Eizo L685 or 767 and not NEC 1880SX or 1980SX?
...and why NEC 1980SX?
I don't need the pivot function, so I have prefered to save near 200 euro.
The L767 is perfect for me...
I've also a L367 as secondary display and I don't like...
Bad panel.... scarce lightness uniformity and vertical viewing angle.
This is the evidence that no brand has only good products...
Ciao
ZitatAnd not to forget ... blue skies, sunshine and things like these ...
I hope in Germany you have blue skies & sunshine too.....
