newboardmember,
EIZO L685 has perfect image quality but bad response time.
I don't know why it differ so much in speed from L565 Super-IPS...Thanks Weideblitz,
I don't have eye?I recognize the PVA panel from the particular surface.
I think Fujitsu MVA is still a bit faster, but Samsung has made avery good job with this.I'm in Umbria, we not have sea like Liguria but nice country and arts.
Also Sicilia is a dream place. If you remove mafia, government and other little things....... we are perfect.

Ciao newboardmember!!
Don't beat me......
I've changed L685 with L767I'm very happy with this monitor and I'm only curious to know the panel manufacturer.
Somewhere is written is a Fujitsu MVA, but it look more like a Samsung PVA.I will never change a monitor in my life... not in Italy....

Hello forum,
after a looong search I've bought a 19'' Eizo L767.I want only to say this monitor is a real beauty to all have some doubt... and make a little question...
It is possible the L767 adopt a Samsung PVA panel like Nec 1980SX?
Looking the panel I have this feeling.

It doesn't matter thanks.........
Now I know this monitor has a bit bad response time,
but the image quality is simply perfect....also if Nec 1880SX would be a more balanced solution.

What for do you need perfect quality?
Remember some TFT's you tried were not good enough ...I think anyone spends so much money wants perfect quality.
Some monitors are not good enough for professional work.
Now I know a lot of things on LCD and I have get a good quality monitor... with relatively minor problems... -
The photo is not perfect... but the box look really "multiplied", beyond the normal ghosting that is not visible in the photo.
I never see this effect in any LCD model.

newboardmember,
with the monitor I must work (programming), but I would like it is good also for movies (DVD) and a bit for gaming.I have tried the Eizo L565 and found is the perfect monitor for me.... but too small for text working.
So I have thought to the L685 and indeed it has top-class image, but very slow response time.
I hope that is a problem that I can resolve. -
The ghosting test calculate near 250ms.
Is not true ghosting but more like a tracing delay.

Ciao newboardmember
At the end I have bought an Eizo L685.
Fantastic image quality but there is some problem.Flickering with some pattern, and with the trail test it
seem to have 1000ms response time!I think I must change my Radeon 9000pro
or make some voodoo rite. -
I found flickering problem with Eizo L685 when display the moirè pattern test.
Flickering is also present when I scrolling images quickly.
And with the program "TFT Schlieren-Test" a white box moving
over gray background has a trail like the Christmas star!!!I'm not joking... the trail is almost 10cm at the starting speed
and look like a 7/8 colors gradient from white to gray.I think there is some BIG problem with my Radeon 9000pro.
Thanks for any info...

Sony X73
Available this summer according to online news...
-
This monitor seem a remarked Acer AL922.
...but with a SUPER PRICE!
-
I've seen the same effect on Acer AL732.
Remember AUO panel has 262K colors with dithering...
and I think this is a normal consequence.A similar effect can be also due to ATI video card
with some LCD monitors.
(I must have some ATI document link about this) -
Zitat
"an 18-bit dithering process to ensure all the images - from PowerPoint presentations to DVD videos - are vivid and picture-perfect."
LOL!!
They could use a true 24-bit panel........
but 18-bit with dithering allows a lot better result.

I've ordered my L685 yesterday.
An italian shop has a very good price of 1160 Euro.I'm not very happy to hear is not good with games
but is the time that I must work hard... -
Congratulations Zitrus!
If you can make a small test..............I've never seen a L767, but if Eizo make a bad monitor is a rare event.
-
Ok
Image quality can be similar, but when I have bought the Samsung 191T...mmmh... this monitor has too red and white is "cream" color I want to adjust the temperature... OPS! the only available OSD option with DVI is the brightness!
mmmh... I want to try the pivot and... OPS! I need a hammer to turn it!! :O
This is not nice with a 1100 EUR device (2 months ago) because I think a LCD monitor is not only a panel.
