New Sony models.
"S" series now gain also the DVI input.
This can mean in future no more people will ask:
"The DVI connection worth the price?"

New Sony SDM-S74 & SDM-S94

Interesting! But I'm wondering what the future difference between the "X" and the "S" series will be
-

Looking at the pictures on the right there is also a SDM-S204.
The features and recent Sony-Samsung agreement (for LCD-TV) let to think the S94 and S204 have PVA panels.
-
Maybe, we'll see. Perhaps the Onyx-Black LCD-Technologie is then used by Samsung, too.
At the Moment Sony uses MVA or IPS Panels for the X93; in the description both panel types are listed ( yes, finally even Sony informs about the panel type in the product information
) . So it is not clear which one is used at the moment; I asked therefore and hope they answer soon... if it's an IPS panel the X93 would be the 4th TFT with 19" and IPS. I'm really curious about that; the tests of the X93 here are very different and this could be an explanation ;).

Onyx-Black is only a different optical filter that swap vivid colors with antiglare properties.
Not a good deal.
I've seen a S73P, colors are super but the panel surface is like a mirror...I hope in the next months they will introduce a X94 model with only "one" panel. :]
-
I don't like the image of hs73p either: The colors are brilliant but the glare...you say it. so I prefer the "dim" picture of normal TFT's
However there are of course people who like the image. Perhaps they develop an Onyx panel without that "mirror-effect". Then it would be a real improvement!
