LG 1930P, what panel? IPS? PVA?

    anybody know the panel?


    The Prad guide says pva.


    LG told me by e-mail S-IPS.


    I am really considering to buy the LG 1930P but I can't find any review about it ?(. Aparently its brother the 1930B is quite good.


    I wonder if the monitor has an IPS panel so suitable to play videogames sometimes.


    anybody has the monitor?

    The P is not S-IPS, that's for sure. There is no S-IPS with 1:700 contrast ratio.


    I am attaching a scan I made from the LG 2004 Display Device Catalogue. You can see that on the right there is the B, and they clearly say it is S-IPS. On the left there is the P and they don't say it is S-IPS.


    Why not go for the B?

    Sorry, there is no chance it is S-IPS.
    Just look at the contrast ratio... there is no S-IPS with such contrast ratio.


    Why didn't you get the B ??
    There is no difference between them, except for the panel!

    Consider the fact that most manufatures greatly exagerate the contrast rating...


    Hmm, from those pictures it looks like the 1930B has a slightly different stand and a more narrow bezel. Does anyone know if it looks like that in person as well as I prefer the looks of the 1930B or is it just that they put a picture of a smaller screen so it looks different in comparison?
