BenQ FP241WZ with BFI

  • The BenQ FP241WZ will be the first LCD to use the BFI technique (Black Frame Insertion).
This also means that the normal FP241W don't use the BFI, like some news seems to say.

  • So, if I understand it correctly, one in every three images is black. This would effectively reduce the usable Hz rate to two thirds, which is 40 Hz?
I am not too amazed by this.
I can already hear gamers complaining about it, as most of them have been saying that 60 Hz is not enough to begin with.
What's so hard about breaking this 60/75 Hz barrier in LCDs anyway?

  • I don't know... ?(
Initially they said that LCD-TV with BFI will have high refresh rate.
100Hz for NTSC and 120Hz for PAL.

The recent LCD seems already to suffer of video lags.
