I am trying to calibrate my NEC MultiSync LCD2690WUXi monitor with SpectraView II software, however the software is unable to communicate with the monitor. Can anybody help with a solution to this problem?
My 2690 monitor was purchased in the UK. The SpectraView II software and NEC/GretagMacBeth X-Rite Eye-one Display 2 colorimeter was obtained from the USA. (SV II is not available in Europe.)
I am using a 13" 2.4 GHz MacBook with OS 10.5.3.
The 2690 is connected to the MacBook using DVI. No other external monitors are connected.
I set the 2690 back to factory default settings before installing the SpectraView II software. The installation was successful and the Eye-one Display 2 was recognized by the SV II software, however SV II was unable to communicate with the monitor. I had the following error message:
"Unable to communicate with the display monitor. Please confirm the monitor is a supported model."
According to the SV II User Guide the NEC LCD2690WUXi is supported and so is the MacBook provided OS 10.5.2 or higher is installed.
Any help would be much appreciated. (Unfortunately I do not understand German.)
