    Is there any 19" IPS yet?


    LG 1910B maybe? Hercules, Sony, EIZO?


    When will 19" IPS models be out?

    2nd Quarter next year, maybe LG a little bit earlier. We will see..

    i have got an official data-sheet which says, that the e481 has an mva panel.


    Wirred again. Let´s wait what iiyama will tell me next week.

    How about this new NEC 1980 with a Hitachi IPS Panel (think I read something in the provided 'tests' of the 1980SX version)? Release in the States was scheduled for July last year, release in Germany for bottom of 2k3. And so far, I ain't been hearing nothin' 'bout it ;)


    So, does anyone know what's up with that one?

    Nec are making its own 19 inch panel.



    ...and I hope also LG will start shipping L1910P, L1920P (and mysterious L1930P) with a real IPS panel.

    OK we diskuss about this theme in the premium forum.


    totamec saw a NEC 1980i with IPS Panel in Japan, a view days ago. They expect the displays in Japan in the middle of February.

    He saw some 19" Displays with IPS. He don`t know wich panel was in it.


    The quality looks like the NEC 1880SX, but black was only dark grey.

    Ich meine, dass hier, soweit ich das überblicken kann, mehrere Deutsche sind ;) (ist doch auch gut, ich z.B. bin hier, weil ich vielleicht helfen kann). Ansonsten hätte ich's noch übersetzen müssen. Aber an den Wörtern NEC, Hitachi und Kooperation kann man schon einiges erkennen.

    Hitachi collaboration sound very well...


    If they make a 19'' panel like the 17'' into the Eizo L565 I will sell the PC to buy it. ;)

    Well, I'd just guess that it's pretty hard to calibrate such kind of a panel into a 19 inch monitor. As far as I know, Iiyama had about the same problems with their prior 19"-IPS version when releasing it.

    I think they must work to find the right calibration because this year LCD will be the mainstream technology and the 1980 is a professional oriented expensive monitor.


    So buyers can't ignore an issue like this... :rolleyes:
