I´m quit interested in getting the new 20" eizo.
Totamec do you mean the L885 or something different?
-
Ehm... the "Brightness Stabilization Function" is present also on the L767 description. :]
But I'm 100% sure that when I have bought my L767 this feature was not here.
-
I think the "Brightness Stabilization" has another purpose.
This seems a precise choice, because the L550 already has the feature you say.
So they don't have any trouble to put it on more expensive models.

Brightness Stabilization Function
Ensures stable brightness - necessary for the proper display of color - with EIZO patented technology*. A drift correction sensor quickly stabilizes the brightness level after startup or coming out of power saving mode. Furthermore, the monitor detects and automatically compensates for brightness changes caused by surrounding temperatures and the passage of time.Eizo know how to make happy a power user... :))

The new Eizo models specs are out...
(except the L797)I go to make a new thread...
-
Eizo Italia say they will have something about 2004 models in the end of May.
I hope also Iiyama this year will replace the ancient AS4821DT.

Now I'm try to sell my L767 also to cover some expenses...
If I succeed without lose an arm and a leg, maybe later this year or next year I will buy a new LCD.Also the new Eizo L768 and L788 would be interesting...

Your discourse is well-balanced rinaldo...
Is only that I want to see a 19'' with real colors, 180 degrees viewing angle and 16ms response time fast as possible. :] -
Only one year ago talk about a 19'' TN sound crazy.
After all the efforts to extend the viewing angle with MVA, IPS, ...
Today the regress look normal because people want 19'' for gaming.
I hope for a big fiasco and that they return to work on serious panels. -
Elsewhere I've read the panels are from AUO.
Unfortunately NEC and LG seem to cooperate...
Like in the 1960NXi and "maybe" the 1980SXi case. -

They say there are not big speed difference with previous 16ms.
But new models would have better black.Greetings

MVA/PVA panel would be rather fitting as color reproduction is a bit better with these
Expensive color calibrated monitors like Eizo CG series (Color Graphic) have only IPS panels.
The same for LaCie and Barco.I think is better to say that the 1960NXi panel (LG.Philips LM190E01?) don't have great colors.
Also if the new LaCie Photon19vision has the same panel....or maybe this panel render less vivid but more natural colors.

I've already done too much hypothesis...
The only way (for me) is wait and see...
