I think they must work to find the right calibration because this year LCD will be the mainstream technology and the 1980 is a professional oriented expensive monitor.
So buyers can't ignore an issue like this...

Hitachi collaboration sound very well...
If they make a 19'' panel like the 17'' into the Eizo L565 I will sell the PC to buy it.
Zitatblack was only dark grey
This instead don't sound good
This can be the problem they speak about (?)
I must translate and read about the premium section...
Totamec saw a 1980 with IPS panel and is produced by Hitachi?
Nec 1980 with Hitachi panel?
Nec are making its own 19 inch panel.
...and I hope also LG will start shipping L1910P, L1920P (and mysterious L1930P) with a real IPS panel.
ZitatHow can anyone become bored with this board?
It's only a joke... :]
Good news! :))
I say to anyone everywhere that prad is a great forum about LCD... so I think many people will be happy for the english section.
The only thing is that now I can't boring german users with english messages...
Greetings & Wishes
16,2M colors + FRC (TN?)
Very good news
Thanks Totamec!
...and there is around some tech detail?
So next year LG finally will clear anything.
AnandTech collaborator say LG are testing 19'' 16ms S-IPS and probably Nec will use this panel because they doesn't succeed to satisfy the increasing demand.
But I hope also Nec, Hitachi and other will make their 19'' panel so we have a better choice...
ehm..... can be 177X have the same name in Europe.
One thing is changing contrast from 500:1 to 700:1 with the magic wand, like Samsung, Acer, Nec, ...
...another thing is saying S-IPS and selling MVA.
Panel technology is not a point of view.
Please remember that Samsung use different model name for asian market.
SyncMaster 195T = 191T
So maybe 197T = 193T
177X in Europe will have surely a different name... if we will see it.
And X series use TN panels not PVA.
The same for lge.it
They mix the L1910B and L1910P features:
L1910P
brightness 300 cd/m2
contrast 700:1
viewing 176/176
response 16ms
The funny thing is that no LG 19'' has 16ms.
I know that people can't understand 25ms S-IPS is much faster than 25ms MVA/PVA...
but this not seems much honest.
lge.de?
They still say L1910P has S-IPS panel......
Another thing...........
new P monitors will have a chip called "Flatron f Engine"
Perhaps something to enhance the brightness?
I don't understand what's its function...
So prad must start to make reviews breaking monitors in all pieces?
I think korean can make this because they have LG factory behind their home. :]
First I've found a great korean review site:
I hope that prad don't be angry for this...
They have demolished the L1910P monitor to look at panel manufacturer:
made in japan
Fujitsu Display Tech...
FLC48SXC8V
More interesting they confirm new L1920P and L1930P LG models with different panel.
As already supposed in the forum... they say maybe that LG use the MVA panel only temporarily because new models will have proprietary LG.Philips panel.
I remember babelfish now can traslate korean to english.
