Flying LCD?
LOL :))
It have unusual design for Eizo.
Probably it use the 16ms AUO panel (Acer AL732, Nec 1760NX, ...)
and the "BrightRegulator" adjust the brightness accord to ambient light, like Sony X93.

Thanks for the fast answer TFTFanII
I've used the Acer AL922 with MVA panel and now I have a Eizo L767...
In my opinion the MVA is slightly faster than Samsung equivalent PVA.
And this can explain the review result.
ViewSonic usually take panels from Chi Mei:
But, as you say, I don't think it is fast enough for games like first-person 3d shooter.
AUO (Acer) say they will solve the MVA slowness using new driving electronic.
So (if I have understanded the review) this monitor is faster than any PVA based like Eizo L767 or Nec 1980SX?
How can be explained this?
Is possible ViewSonic use some hardware trick, like Mitsubishi "Feed Forward Driving"?
I don't think HX93 can have different panel than X93.
Anything in the 19'' size is PVA or MVA.
With the only exception of the LG.Philips panel into L1910B... but I have understanded that is not anything special (?)
Iiyama say the new H430 have a very interesting Hitachi panel...
500:1 contrast
25ms response time
This can be the great Eizo L565 S-IPS panel successor??
Thanks
Sony will join Samsung to build LCD panels and will drop CRT (Trinitron) production already next year.
So we will have LG.Philips vs. Samsung.Sony
I think a 19'' with pivot and advanced controls.
The Nec 1980SX rival......
This can be very fast...
To change response time, viewing angle or anything else they don't need to replace the panel............ they simply replace the specs.
And this is not only a LG habit.
Zitatbut I'm sure they will improve their product in production
They are so smart that can improve their products also after production.
To be correct............
german LG specs are not a fake.
They are the "starting" product informations.
Can be that after LG change they hasn't make the right update.
A forum user has confirmed that L1910P is a 25ms MVA...... before LG specs change.
I personally think that info in german LG site are wrong.
But only Prad can definitely solve the mystery.
ledderlappan LG has corrected the L1910B response time to 25ms.
I have used a Eizo L565 (35ms Hitachi S-IPS) and Sony X82 (30ms LG.Philips S-IPS) and they are faster than any 25ms MVA/PVA.
So I suppose L1910B is good with games............ but Flapjack have surely his reasons.........
ZitatDie neuen 16ms S-IPS Panel konnten die hohen Erwartungen jedenfalls noch nicht erfüllen.
In the 19'' size the truth is that don't exist any 16ms S-IPS panel.
LG has changed both L1910P and L1910B respose time values.
All can be.............. but I doubt someone can launch 12ms panel before end of the year with big names (Samsung, LG, Acer) that have already done their moves.
Looking the latest models the sensation is we can't see relevant innovations this year.
For example LG (after the L1910P adventure) has also changed L1910B response time from 16ms to 25ms (!)
Someone can think this is crazy, but is all right.
They build a new monitor and after try to know the response time.
Image the LG or Samsung engineers hard work:
Eng1: "This time we make a good monitor... we can write 25/20, not 16ms!!"
Eng2: "Be careful, at the naked eye this is a 26,347ms..."
Eng1: "WHAT?? I already say 16ms to marketing boys, and now we must change the monitor specs everywhere in the world?"
Eng2: "Sure... but wait some week to increase the sales. IHIHIH"
Eng1: "EHEHEHEH...."
:))
AUO (Acer & co.) 17'' make a real 16ms panel.
Many monitors use this.
Acer al732, Nec 1760nx, Hitachi......
New Samsung 152X and 172X surely are 16ms.
The problem is that all this are TN with dithering while 173P is a full-color PVA.
But Samsung like other brads write 16ms in one place and 25ms in other place.... 500:1 contrast sometime becomes 700:1... and 160/160 viewing angle maybe 170/170 if you look better.....
Thanks cayorider!
Very clean and elegant for me.
But........ in the PDF response time of 173P is <25ms
Samsung marketing has learned from LG?
(any reference to L1910P is purely casual)
