The good news is not only the specs of these monitors but the price.
ZitatThe 190B7 is expected to be available come July with an estimated street price of $399 (U.S.). The 200WB7 is to be made available come autumn with an estimated street price of $449.
Now the 19'' 190P7 (PVA?) is priced around 400 Euro in Italy.
P.S.
Another asian news that report more Philips new entries.200P7, 200WB7, 230WP7, 190S7, 190B7, 190P7
P.P.S.
The panel of 190P7 is probably a Premium MVA AUO M190EG01 V0.
Read the contrast ratio values in this japanese site: -

Backlight kann erhöhen panel contrast, aber 1000:1 ---> 3000:1 scheint übertrieben.
Dieses kann durch Marketing erklärt werden.
Mich entschuldigen
Ich benutze einen übersetzer.
Ich komme zum englischen Abschnitt zurück.

Ja, ich denke...
Color gamut 72% = backlight type 1
Color gamut 92% = backlight type 2LED oder FFL (Flat Fluorescent Lamp) oder CCFL "Wide Color Gamut".
LED unwahrscheinlich (gamut >100%).

Photo of the Samsung SyncMaster 971P with anti-conventional design, 1500:1 contrast and USB 2.0 HUB.
The XC19, XC20, XC24 with LED backlight.
The great news is that...
ZitatUnlike NEC's policy the price of these monitors won't be higher than the "normal" LCD except that this technology will be introduced first in high end models.

I don't know about availability.
In another place there is written that it will cost 5000$.Have you seen the CNET video?
The "normal" 244T seems to have washed colors in comparison.

The LED backlight is an instant-on backlight that requires no warm-up time to reach its color temperature or maximum luminance, and Samsung says that it has a 2 million-hour life cycle, so you'll get the most for your monitor money
2 million hour life??
I've heard LED has 100.000 hour life...

What 19'' LCD monitor are you using?
Someone (especially dealers and paper magazines) spread the stupid sentence that "all LCDs are good for eyes".
Nothing is more far from reality. All these aspects can condition reading comfort (assuming DVI connection or perfect analog tuning).
- brightness regulation range
- viewing angle (color consistence from center to corners)
- brightness uniformity
- black color deepness (high contrast)
- surface clarity (some IPS panel give an hologram-like crystalline feeling).
- back-light lamps operating frequency -
A Samsung SyncMaster 770P review by Hardware.fr.
Samsung SyncMaster 770P : PVA 6ms, 1500:1
After calibration the monitor show a very good color accuracy and near perfect black.
I think in few days the review will be available in english language here: -

I have a feeling I asked a very stupid question?I think the result is to anticipate the appearance of defective pixels.

LCD monitors don't need high refresh rates like CRT.
With DVI connection you have a standard 60Hz refresh. The Eizo S1910 can be a very good choice for your purpose.
Think to the more expensive L778 if you need decent integrated speakers, BrightRegulator or C-Booster.S-IPS monitors, unlike TN, have very good colors and viewing angle combined with soft ghosting.
The true problem of this technology is in the black representation (not very deep).
So, the PVA panel of Eizo S1910/L778 with 1000:1 contrast is a better choice for text-oriented applications.Avoid the new Samsung 970P because it's adjustable exclusively with the Windows-only MagicTune software.
No OSD buttons... no Linux software...Greetings
