Brightness Stabilization Function
Ensures stable brightness - necessary for the proper display of color - with EIZO patented technology*. A drift correction sensor quickly stabilizes the brightness level after startup or coming out of power saving mode. Furthermore, the monitor detects and automatically compensates for brightness changes caused by surrounding temperatures and the passage of time.Eizo know how to make happy a power user... :))

1000:1 contrast ratio, 178° viewing angels, pivot, slim design, dual DVI-I ( 788 ) very interesting. Perhaps my next display?
-
but there is no brightness-sensor, which adapts the brightness automatically over the day. so the feature seems to me not very usefull.
-
I think the "Brightness Stabilization" has another purpose.
This seems a precise choice, because the L550 already has the feature you say.
So they don't have any trouble to put it on more expensive models.
(I believe) -
WOW, Eizo macht seinem Namen mal wieder alle Ehre... <-- don't know what that's in english, perhaps "Eizo is a tribute to his name"
-
Ehm... the "Brightness Stabilization Function" is present also on the L767 description. :]
But I'm 100% sure that when I have bought my L767 this feature was not here.

Totamec, curiosity can kill someone...Sorry dude, I´m quit bussy at the moment. I was in asia til sunday evening and just went home to get fresh clothes and took a run to the next ´plane.
The 885 is a nice device, but in asia are two version of it. And I´m waiting for the 885 2nd edition, or how ever it will be called. It has a PiP function, and that´s perfect for me.
