Quietly, Iiyama has launched a new 22-inch display in autumn. The matte black ProLite E2274HDS-B2 breathes understatement, but has a lot to offer at second glance. Although the manufacturer is a bit stingy in terms of comfort features, the 150-Euro model E2274HDS-B2 provides interesting features.
First of all, the reaction time of two milliseconds has to be stated. As the notice 'grey to grey' is not given, it must derive from the overdrive circuit. Though the Full HD display utilizes TN technology with their technology-related weaknesses in the soft proofing and graphic applications, this plays a subordinate role for gaming purposes.
For the sake of completeness, it should be mentioned that the Iiyama ProLiteE2274HDS-B2 features a height adjustment function and does not solely have to rely on it base or VESA wall mounting. LED backlight keeps the power consumption low (24 watts) and allows a high dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1.

A trio of port VGA, DVI-D and HDMI inputs allows you to watch HDCP protected content and excludes neither CE nor Apple terminals as potential playback devices. The monitor does not even have to be mute: Integrated one-watt speakers produce sounds fed via HDMI audio or 3.5-mm jack.
