To optimise the display for different fields of application, the PA271W provides a number of integrated modes for colour space emulation, such as sRGB, DCI, DICOM or REC-BT709. By means of the MultiProfiler software, the user is able to customise all settings in a comfortable manner from the PC. The software can also be used for the configuration of the programmable USB hub or the picture-in-picture function.

The configuration of the PA271W is fitted to the requirements of professional users with high demands on productivity and exact image reproduction. The built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen to the lighting conditions at the workplace. Featuring a pivot function, the ergonomic foot provides height adjustment of up to 150 millimetres. Another feature, so-called Backlight Ageing Correction, stabilises brightness and the shift of the white point by compensating the normal aging of the CCFL backlight.
Supporting higher bandwidths than any other connection, the DisplayPort interface provides unsurpassed deep colours. The TCO 03 certificate is a sign of approval of compliance to strict ecological and ergonomic standards. Arsenic-free LCD module manufacturing as well as the use of recycled plastic in the monitor housing prove highest performance to go hand in hand with environmental compatibility.
