Just another full HD monitor from Samsung in a sleek design, some may think at the sight of the SyncMaster S23A700D LED. And yes, the survey of the specifications is not surprising - the manufacturer uses a TN panel with well-known standard specifications. But the 23-inch display scores with a special feature:

Samsung promises a 100-per cent coverage of the sRGB colour space; the Ultra Clear Panel with anti-reflection coating allows reflection-free plan view. In 3D mode, the so-called 3D hyper real engine controls the interplay of colour, contrast and movement, naturally supported by 120 hertz to address the infrared-connected active shutter glasses. Of course, the 3D capabilities of the display include 3D conversion of classic 2D material.

As a multimedia display, the SyncMaster S23A700D LED uses digital instead of analogue signal inputs: While DVI-D can be applied in the computer field, 3D-capable consoles, various players and set-top boxes can be connected via HDMI 1.4a. When using HDMI, audio is tapped through a 3.5mm jack output.
Despite LED backlight, which raises the dynamic contrast ratio to a mega-level, typical power consumption is at 44 watts, but the eco saving feature with three energy saving modes, as well as an eco sensor, provides for reduction. Auto shut-off extends the lamp life and adds useful power savings. Online retailers have reduced the SyncMaster S23A700DLED dramatically to about 250 Euros lately.
