The info below is direct form the source of the raw panels themselves at Samsung Engineering:
The 24" panels are NOT in stock as of today at Dell. They may be by mid month. The cost of the new 24" panels should be WAY below the cost of the 243T especially the Dell ones, but there is obviously a mistake on the Dell site. But then again pre ordering one of these systems may just get you one and then whether they honor it or not is the question. You may end up with a 20" switch. The Samsung models will be out after the Dells and they may not be quite as inexpensive.
The specs on the "raw" panels are as follows:
Up to 1000 Contrast Ratio
Up to 500 nit brightness
16ms response time
8ms response time for grey to grey

OK, I spoke again with Samsung and the only way this would be a BenQ panel is if Samsung sells the glass to BenQ in Taiwan. The glass with the specs above is Samsung. Samsung knows all about the Dell monitor and it's source for the TFT glass is Samsung. If BenQ is involved, it is aquiring the raw panles from Samsung. I believe the Dell panels are being assembled in China. In any case we most likely will see them go on sale soon.

That is old info that has not been updated. Samsung has increased the specs on the raw panels which is where the new info is coming from. They are alos selling the raw 24" panels to any one interested including possibly BEnQ. I have this info directly from the panel manufacturing team at Samsung.

So it's out but it's weird, the RTS for the 2405FPW was supposed to be today and on Feb. 21 for Europe but they moved it to March, hmm, probably last minute fixes for bleeding and dead pixel problems. Now who said the picture I posted is photoshoped and the tech specs are not right. You people really like Dell's flat panel monitor, do you?
Here's some added specs:
Faceplate coating: Antiglare with hard-coating 3H.
Backlight: 6 CCFLs U-type backlight.
Video input signals
Analog RGB: 0.7 Volts +/-5%, 75 ohm input impedance.
Digital DVI-D TMDS: 600mV for each differential line, 50 ohm input impedance.
S-video: Y input 1 volt(p-p), C input 0.286 volt(p-p), 75 ohm input impedance.
Composite: 1 volt(p-p), 75 ohm input impedance.
Component: Y, Pb, Pr are all 0.5~1volt(p-p), 75 ohm input impedance.
Synchronization input signals: Separate horizontal and vertical, 3.3V Cmos or 5V TTL level, positive or negative sync. SOG (Sync on green).
