Introduction

In the hardware sector, Shuttle has been known for its barebone PCs from day one. However, LCD monitors, whose outlandish design stands apart from the mainstream, have been part of Shuttle's product portfolio for some time now, too.The monitors of the XP17 range, which are 17 inches in diagonal size, stand out of the crowd by the carry handle integrated into the housing. The design of the series is uniform and the different models mainly vary in their performance.

How the "Shuttle XP17 TempAG V2 – silver" comes off in daily tasks such as working, gaming, and DVD playback, we have complied for you in this detailed reviewed.

All results issued in this review have been established using the digital DVI input, whereas the analog D-Sub input was merely used for testing the analog image quality. Our test bed ran with a Gainward PowerPack! Ultra/2600 Golden Sample graphics card and two Point of View GeForce 7800GTX 512MB (SLI) graphics cards.

Scope of supply

The scope of supply of the XP17 TempAG V2 contains the following: One user manual, one DVI-D cable (digital), one D-Sub cable (analog), one cleaning tissue, and one external power supply unit along with a power cable. The user manual was not available; according to Shuttle, it is multilingual (English, Chinese, Japanese, German, French, Italian and Spanish). There is no CD with monitor drivers for Windows included. However, an INF driver won't be necessary anyway as the XP17 TempAG V2 is compliant with the Plug-and-Play standard.
