REVIEW: Eizo SX3031W-BK
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
Eizo has taken its time with presenting its 30-inch model. Whilst Apple had such a model in its portfolio as early as late summer 2004 with the new Cinema HD monitor range, it took a further three years before Eizo introduced the SX3031W and CG301W to the market.
Demand for models in this size category was comparatively has been comparatively clear for a long time. However, now other manufacturers are offering these giant LCDs as well as the aforementioned Cinema HD Display from Apple. These models include Dell’s 3008WFP, NEC’s brand new LCD3090WQXi, HP’s LP3065 and Samsung’s 305T+.
Here, the Eizo model we are testing and the Samsung 305T+ are the only 30-inch models which contain a Samsung S-PVA panel. All other models in this class contain S-IPS panels.
