REVIEW: ViewSonic VP930
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad
ViewSonic addresses its VP series mainly at users with demands that are above average and who want to see the needs of professional use met. Part of this series is the VP930 which sports an MVA panel combined with an Overdrive technology in-house developed by ViewSonic. Now let's see how well the ViewSonic VP930 tackles various applications such as Internet, Office, Games, and DVD.
All results issued in this review have been established using the digital input, with the exception of the test runs for analog image quality, which have been established on the analog input. Our test bed ran with a Gainward PowerPack! Ultra/2600 Golden Sample and two Point of View GeForce 7800GTX 512MB (SLI).
The scope of supply of the ViewSonic VP930 includes a short manual, two CDs, a power cable, a D-Sub cable (analog) and a DVI-D cable. One CD contains the PerfectSuite screen control software and the other CD contains Windows monitor drivers as well as a more detailed PDF version of the user manual in several languages. A detailed printed manual is not included with this monitor, which unfortunately is a common practice among display manufacturers. All in all, the scope of supply of the ViewSonic VP930 can be regarded as complete.
