Introduction
The 23 inch widescreen monitor ViewSonic VP2330wb sets out to replace its - already very good - predecessor model VP231wb. Judging from the list of features and the native resolution of 1.920 x 1.200, this display seems to be targeted towards professional users with higher demands. While the previous model, the VP231wb, incorporates an S-IPS panel, the VP2330wb is fitted with an S-MVA panel.

A new display featuring a new Panel - thus, in the light of the predecessor's performance, our expectations of the VP2330wb are accordingly high. In today's review we will provide some insight as to whether this monitor is able to match or even outdo its older brother.
All results issued in this review have been established using the digital input. The analog connection merely has been used to test analog image quality. All tests have been conducted using two Point of View GeForce 7800GTX 512MB (SLI) graphics cards.
Scope of supply
The scope of supply of the ViewSonic VP2330wb is complete, comprising two CDs, one external power supply unit plus one power cable, one D-Sub cable (analog), one DVI-D cable (digital) and one USB cable.
One of the CDs contains the PerfectSuite screen manager software, while the other one holds Windows monitor drivers, a detailed manual in PDF format, as well as the Adobe Reader software.
