REVIEW: Meditec SHB-22S6 TW![]()
++ very good, + good, +/- satisfactory, - bad, -- very bad A 22-inch widescreen monitor with 1.680 x 1.050 pixels instead of a 19-inch – and for the same price! This isn’t simply a pipe dream, but has become a reality in the form of the Meditec SHB 22S6 TW. This newcomer to the LCD market has equipped its 22-inch monitor with the classical TN panel, giving it a contrast of 800:1 and brightness of 300 cd/m². With its response time of 5 ms and its integrated speakers, the Meditec 22S6 TW would be best suited to multimedia, games and office use.
Advertisement We tested the monitor to establish for which users it would be worth purchasing, how well it performs compared to its expensive 22-inch rivals and where you as the user will have to endure cutbacks in view of the extremely low price. Our test system uses a Sapphire Radeon X850XT graphics card. We also ran some tests on an Nvidia 6600GT. All test results with the exception of the analogue image stability were obtained via a digital (DVI-D) input. The Meditec SHB 22S6 TW comes in a colourful box, the make-up of which gives the air of as no-name product. But what is important is what is inside the box, and this one contains the monitor and its base as well as a user guide, a card detailing the guarantee and all necessary cables.
The design of the packaging is particularly colourful and unusual compared to the packaging used by well-known brands.
